Section 118 defines the fighter-driver, vehicle combat, Get-Out-and-Fight, and shared economy contract for mixed racing and fighting events.
Fighter Drivers#
Every roster fighter can drive any vehicle. Each fighter can also unlock a signature vehicle through Mastery plus Side Story progression, cross-referencing Section 111.7. Per-fighter driving personality affects AI driver behavior only and cross-references Section 110.1; player-driven vehicles ignore personality bias. Pre-race banter cross-references Section 63.1 and extends to racing events with per-fighter and per-matchup driving-context lines.
Get-Out-And-Fight#
The Race.Crossover.GetOutAndFight plugin is registered as a Crossover plugin
with combat and cinematics module requirements. In crossover events, vehicle KO
at the Totaled damage state triggers a driver-exit cinematic. If both vehicles
are totaled, both drivers are forced out. The driver exits the vehicle and
enters melee combat against the opponent, then the fight resumes in the chosen
MK, SF, Tekken, WWE, UFC, SC, or DJ ruleset.
Stage Arenas And Outcomes#
Track stretches and off-track areas are designated as fighting arenas. Environmental finishers are eligible through Sections 14 and 15. The fight winner returns to a salvageable vehicle or claims the opponent vehicle, while the loser is eliminated from the race.
Vehicle Melee#
Vehicle melee is enabled in the Combat Racing ruleset from Section 104 and in crossover mode. Intentional rams create melee impacts that combo through the fighting GAS system from Section 2. Vehicle melee damage is tracked separately from speed damage.
Signature Events And Cinematics#
Crossover signature events combine racing and fighting: race to a venue, arrive, cinematically transition to the fighting arena, run a ruleset-flagged fight, and advance the winner. The cinematic library covers per-fighter get-out cinematic, signature stance entrance, vehicle-return cinematic, re-enter, and drive-away.
Shared Economy And Ranked#
The shared cosmetic store accepts Fighter Coins from Section 23.5 and Racing Coins, with per-item cost in either currency. Shared Battle Pass tracks cross-reference Section 52.4 and include both fighting and racing rewards. Crossover ranked is an opt-in mixed-mode queue with separate MMR from fighting and racing.
Verification#

RaceModes.Module automation coverage, RacingFightingCrossover.spec.cpp,
race-mode plugin registration, CI registration, and
