Section 106 defines Carbon and NFSU2 inspired drift scoring, drag scoring, Canyon Duel structure, crew lead-follow choices, and open-world outrun drift.
Drift Scoring#
Per-drift score is angle degrees from forward, ideal line proximity, speed, duration, and multiplier chain. The multiplier chain continues through linked corners and resets on straighten or wall impact.
Drift handling assists are clutch-kick entry, handbrake drift, and Scandinavian flick. Each input scheme can expose those assists while keeping the score formula stable for ranked play.
Drift Variants#
Solo Drift Run is per-track score attack with leaderboard support. Drift Battle is a 1v1 lead-follow drift mode where the lead car defines line and the follow car scores matching line plus proximity. Drift Tag-Team is 2v2 with team aggregate score.
NFSU2-style Outrun Drift starts from an open-world rival driver encounter. The winner is decided by a per-second drift chain win threshold.
Drag Scoring#
Drag scoring grants a perfect-launch bonus when RPM is at peak power on green light. Perfect-shift bonuses trigger at RPM peak, and a multi-shift chain bonus rewards repeated clean shifts.
The drag-mode camera is a behind-the-car follow camera with shift light and speedometer dominant on the HUD.
Canyon Duel#
Canyon Duel is a 1v1 cliff-edge race on a winding canyon sprint track. The defender half scores per-second lead-time. The attacker half scores per-second close-time. Per-half final score determines the winner, and falling off cliff is an instant loss.
At launch, Canyon Duel has three canyon tracks: Track.Canyon.AkaiPass,
Track.Canyon.ObservatoryRun, and Track.Canyon.CoastalCliff. Each has
authored cliff drop, cinematic camera, dramatic music, and scoring HUD.
Casual mode supports per-half restart. Career mode uses Canyon Duel as the Blacklist boss climax through Section 101.6 integration.
Crew Lead-Follow#
When chasing, the attacker may choose PIT or avoid based on player strategy. PIT attempts have success rules and defender lead-loss consequences.
