Manifest version: v3-cultural-adaptation-review.v1

Verifier: pnpm verify:v3 cultural-adaptation-review

This SOP gates tradition-sensitive GA inventory before launch-locale publication. It applies to Tara practice and lineage copy, Nisaba text and manuscript surfaces, Saraswati cultural and devotional references, Lineage Week programs, and Remembrance Hall observance programming.

identify-tradition-sensitive-content#

Tenant editorial marks any GA item that references a real practice, lineage, language, ritual, sacred text, memorial observance, instrument tradition, genre community, or culturally specific place. The item receives a stable inventory id, content ref, category, tradition refs, and prohibited-claims list.

source-and-rights-grounding#

Lilith-Rights and Sophia attach source evidence, citation trails, license or public-domain evidence, provenance refs, and rights notes. Items with missing sources, uncertain manuscript witnesses, unlicensed adaptations, or unsupported lineage claims remain blocked.

local-cultural-adapter-review#

Localization editors prepare an adaptation brief for every launch locale. The brief preserves source attribution, avoids collapsing distinct traditions into generic wording, and identifies protected terms that should not be translated or should carry a note.

community-advisor-review#

Cultural advisors review community boundaries, memorial tone, ritual framing, lineage presentation, and sacred-language handling. Advisor notes are resolved before any release signoff.

localized-copy-and-subtitle-adaptation#

Localization editors apply launch-locale copy, subtitle, glossary, and UI text changes. Every item must cover all launch locale variants and keep protected terms aligned with the glossary.

final-release-signoff#

Sophia cultural review, cultural advisor, tenant editorial, localization editor, and Lilith-Rights all sign off. The item is then marked as applied to GA inventory; otherwise it remains blocked from launch publication.

GA Inventory#

  • Tara yoga lineage: Maya Anand Iyengar lineage student disclosure.
  • Tara ritual practice: new-moon ritual circle and lunar practice copy.
  • Nisaba sacred text: Vedic commentary open-stack passage panel.
  • Nisaba manuscript fragment: quarterly fragment study event.
  • Saraswati tradition reference: Raga Devi backstory claims.
  • Saraswati devotional or ritual music: devotional genre-cell guardrails.
  • Lineage Week programming: cross-tenant closing dialogue.
  • Remembrance cultural observance: Lantern Hall remembrance program.

Release Gate#

Pass criteria (all required, measurable):

  • All 8 tradition-sensitive GA inventory items above carry a recorded final-release sign-off in the evidence artifact, each with a reviewer id, the reviewer's role (one of the 5 required role kinds: Sophia cultural review, cultural advisor, tenant editorial, localization editor, Lilith-Rights), a tradition tag, and a sign-off date.
  • Every item covers all 18 launch locales (V3_LAUNCH_LOCALIZATION_REQUIRED_LOCALE_IDS) with adaptation briefs and glossary-aligned protected terms.
  • 0 unresolved blocking reviews: no item in blocked state and no open community-advisor note at publication time.
  • Every Tara practice/lineage and Saraswati cultural/devotional launch content item resolves to one of the inventory ids above; content that references a real tradition but has no inventory id fails the gate.

Fail-closed conditions: the gate fails when any required step, role kind, or content category is missing from the canonical process; when any inventory item lacks a recorded sign-off or carries an unresolved blocking review; when the evidence artifact is missing, malformed, or still pending; or when the SOP, library, and tests drift apart.

Honest status (2026-06-12): pnpm verify:v3 cultural-adaptation-review currently enforces the structural half of this gate (the process definition, inventory coverage, role/category constants, Sophia grounding hooks, and tests in libs/v3/lilith-commons). The recorded-sign-off evidence artifact is a skeleton with "status": "pending" — no named-reviewer sign-offs have been captured, and the verifier does not yet read the evidence file (verifier extension pending, outside V3/). Do not hand-edit the evidence artifact to complete; populate it only from real recorded reviews.
