Context#
V4 has platform-specific memory, input, certification, and cook constraints. The backlog references a nine-platform launch footprint plus a PS5 Pro performance profile.
Decision#
Launch targets are Windows, Mac, Linux, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Switch 2, iOS, and Android. PS5 Pro is tracked as a dedicated enhanced profile sharing the PS5 platform family.
Consequences#
- Platform config directories must exist for every launch target and PS5 Pro.
- Constrained targets can strip large mode plugins through target/cook rules.
- CI must distinguish desktop, console, and mobile verification lanes.
