Context#

Competitive tactical modes and shared progression require anti-cheat coverage that works across launch PC storefronts and integrates with server-side enforcement.

Decision#

Easy Anti-Cheat is the default anti-cheat provider for launch. Server authority, replay review, telemetry anomaly detection, and platform reporting remain part of the enforcement model.

Consequences#

  • PC builds must include EAC bootstrap, signing, and startup validation.
  • Anti-cheat outages must degrade to protected-mode matchmaking instead of deterministic gameplay differences.
  • Provider replacement requires a new security and platform certification ADR.
