Section 124 defines VRARSupport.V2, a UI-owned catalog for PSVR2, Meta Quest 3, Apple Vision Pro, PC VR, mixed-reality experiences, VR cross-play labeling, certification, and VR accessibility.

Ruleset Compatibility#

All racing rulesets are VR-eligible and expose cockpit, chase, and spectator cameras. Fighting rulesets are VR-toggleable with explicit motion-sickness considerations and only expose rare first-person fighter camera plus spectator camera modes. The catalog rejects racing entries that are not VR-eligible and rejects fighting entries without the comfort toggle policy.

Platform Support#

PSVR2 support targets PS5 with 4K-per-eye 120Hz mode, foveated rendering, eye tracking, and DualSense Edge as a motion controller mapping. Meta Quest 3 support covers native Quest and Pro VR, hand tracking, per-frame async time warp, and cross-buy with the PC version.

Apple Vision Pro support is mixed reality with passthrough, gaze-and-pinch input, and spatial audio Atmos integration. PC VR support covers SteamVR, Oculus Rift S, and Windows MR, with per-platform render scale and input mapping.

Comfort, Camera, And HUD#

Comfort modes include vignette during turning, snap-turn, and a per-player comfort level. Cinematic moments use per-fighter VR cinematics with VR-aware pacing and no induced nausea. Vehicle play uses per-vehicle cockpit camera with authentic VR head-tracking. The VR HUD is minimal, uses glanceable virtual gauges, and represents UI elements as physical objects in 3D space.

Mixed Reality#

Vision Pro mixed-reality mode places vehicles on the player's real-world floor through passthrough and stages fights in the player's real-world room. The AR spectator companion tracks a friend's match on a TV or phone screen and renders an overlay for spectators.

Cross-Play#

VR-vs-non-VR matchmaking is opt-in for non-ranked modes. Ranked separates VR and non-VR pools. Matchmaking labels input methods using the Section 50 taxonomy: VR-headset, controller, and wheel.

Certification And Accessibility#

Certification covers Sony VR TRC, Meta Quest Store cert, and Apple Vision Pro App Store cert, each with per-platform comfort review plus epilepsy and motion-sickness compliance. VR accessibility covers seated mode for wheelchair-using players or anyone who cannot stand, one-controller mode for one-handed play, voice-activated menu with Section 53.6 alignment, and subtitle positioning that is customizable in 3D space.
