V4 Final Polish and Year-5 Sunset Plan

V4/release/final-polish-readiness.json is the source of truth for final P3 signoff. It records a reviewed evidence row for every P3 stretch section (§126 through §139), verifies that deferred polish is closed, and binds the year-5 game-as-service sunset plan to the launch date.

Final Polish Gate#

  • Every P3 section must have status: reviewed, at least one existing evidence file, and no blocker count.
  • Deferred polish must report openDeferredItemCount: 0.
  • V4/V4_TODOS.md may only retain the template unchecked example outside implemented sections.
  • pnpm -F @v4/scripts final-polish-check is the release signoff command and fails closed until V4/release/final-polish-execution-evidence.json contains a fresh, coherent production run.
  • Preflight runs pnpm -F @v4/scripts final-polish-check -- --structure-only so static contract defects are caught before the self-hosted UE job creates its evidence. Structural success does not claim production execution readiness.
  • Static manifests and deterministic commentary templates are structural evidence only. They do not prove Calliope or Psyche provider execution.
  • Production evidence must bind real Calliope prose to factual match events, bind live Psyche audio to that exact script, and retain consent, opt-out, watermark, provenance, localization, native-speaker, bias-review, and review queue receipts.
  • The same evidence package must embed a successful oshun.unreal-evidence.v1 run for V4/ue/V4.uproject using the exact ue55-linux editor, ueagent, and LinuxEditor, with passing report rows for adaptive-director bounds, procgen connectivity/placement, replay, and commentary integration. A skipped run or an artifact name alone is not evidence.

Year-5 Sunset#

V4 launches on 2026-10-01T16:00:00Z; the planned service end date is 2031-10-01T16:00:00Z.

The plan requires a 12-month public announcement, entitlement and replay archive exports, platform-compliant refund and entitlement handling, ranked/live-ops wind-down, DSAR/delete priority, offline-mode preservation, and a final public archive of wiki, balance ledger, roadmap, and partnership disclosures.
