V2 cosmetic wagering is a launch-limited broadcast feature. It uses Drop currency only, has no real-money cash-out, cannot reduce a purchased balance, and auto-disables when a jurisdictional review cannot confirm that the current configuration stays below gambling thresholds.
Baseline Controls#
- No real-money stake, cash prize, cash-out, resale bridge, or marketplace value is allowed for wagered items.
- Odds are hidden from player purchase flows and cannot imply monetary value.
- Purchased premium balances cannot be lost through a wager.
- Every wager stores match id, event id, jurisdiction, Drop amount, displayed odds state, outcome, and reviewer override state for audit.
- Regions with loot-box or gambling uncertainty default to disabled until legal approves a local rule file.

Auto-Disable Triggers#
The feature disables for a region when any of the following is true:
- cosmetics become transferable for money or money's worth;
- a platform requires a lower cap or disallows the feature;
- the player is a minor account or parental controls block wagering;
- the local rule file is missing, expired, or rejected by compliance;
- a regulator, platform, or legal reviewer flags the feature for hold.
Audit Trail#
Audit events retain the immutable wager record, match record, published rule file version, region rule id, and reviewer decision. Records use the same subject-home residency route as other account privacy data unless a regulator requires local retention.
