This policy is the design gate for V2 paid content, premium currency, gifting, Battle Pass rewards, DLC, and live-service roadmap offers. It is not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific legal review, but product and engineering work must not ship below this baseline.
Hard Rules#
- No surprise mechanics: V2 does not sell randomized paid reward containers, paid gacha, paid mystery packs, or any equivalent paid chance mechanic.
- No paid loot boxes: all real-money or premium-currency purchases list the exact items, quantities, availability limits, and rarity labels before purchase.
- No auction house: V2 prohibits player-to-player cosmetic marketplaces.
- No trading post: V2 prohibits player-driven cosmetic trading, bartering, or market listings.
- Gifting only: friend-to-friend cosmetic gifting is the only player-to-player cosmetic transfer, and it is capped at 5 gifts per calendar month.
- Cosmetic-trade detection: anti-cheat and fair-play services flag one-way gift flows, repeated high-value gifts, and gift patterns correlated with off-platform payment indicators for ops review.
- Premium-currency cap per region: wallets enforce regional stockpile caps and regional daily purchase limits. The default cap is 250 premium-currency units unless local law or platform policy requires a lower cap.
- Battle Pass rewards are cosmetics, profile items, or currency only. No fighter, ruleset, balance change, gameplay modifier, or must-have competitive item may be locked behind the Battle Pass.
- Premium tier skips are capped per day and cannot be used to evade spend limits, minor-protection limits, refund controls, or platform policy.
Purchase Transparency#
Every paid item detail page must show:
- item name, category, rarity, platform availability, region availability, and license-expiration notice where applicable;
- whether the item can be gifted;
- premium-currency and real-money price where both apply;
- refund eligibility and platform-specific purchase owner;
- cosmetic-only or gameplay-affecting status, with gameplay-affecting paid content excluded from Battle Pass and cosmetic storefront surfaces.
Rarity labels are allowed only as descriptive labels for fixed listed items: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Rarity labels must not imply randomized odds because V2 does not sell randomized paid items.
Minor And Regional Controls#
Minor accounts have a zero daily premium spend limit by default until the applicable region, platform, guardian-consent flow, and publisher account policy are approved by legal review. Adult accounts default to a 50-unit daily premium spend limit and a 250-unit wallet cap, then tighten per region where required.
China-specific builds must route play-time, real-name, minor-protection, and spend-limit requirements through the regional compliance service before any premium currency or online feature is enabled.
DLC And License-Conditional Content#
Year-1 DLC packs are itemized before purchase. Each character pack lists fighter, stage, and alternate costumes. Guest fighters and licensed skins ship in isolated GameFeaturePlugins so content can be disabled, removed, or region-gated without a core patch when a license expires or a territory restriction changes.
RMT And Gifting Enforcement#
Gifting is capped and logged. The fair-play service flags:
- repeated one-way gifts from many accounts to a single account;
- gifts followed by chargebacks, refund anomalies, or account resale signals;
- mismatches between gifting volume, play history, friendship age, and region;
- high-value cosmetic gifts correlated with known off-platform payment reports.
Flags create an ops review case. Automated enforcement must not confiscate paid items or suspend accounts without the moderation appeal path unless platform or legal policy requires immediate action.

Release Gate#
Any monetization change must pass these checks before release:
- product review confirms no surprise mechanics and no randomized paid rewards;
- legal review confirms region caps, platform policy, and minor protections;
- engineering review confirms Battle Pass and store surfaces expose itemized rewards before purchase;
- fair-play review confirms gifting caps and cosmetic-trade detection remain on;
- QA confirms no auction house, no trading post, no market listing, and no paid loot-box entry points are reachable in game or web flows.
