surface: Tara route: /tara status: GA help article
What Tara Is#
Tara is the live and recorded practice surface for yoga, breathwork, class booking, instructor-led sessions, and practice-plan continuity. The help article applies to web, native, VR, Pixel Streaming, and Tier-2 fallback launch paths.
Primary Tasks#
- Join a live class from the class card or a deep link.
- Review instructor credentials, lineage notes, and liability disclosures before booking.
- Use the Aja pose HUD, captions, audio descriptions, reduced-motion, photosensitive-safe, color-vision, one-handed mobile, and flat-stereo controls.
- Rejoin a recording in practice mode and keep the practice log synced to the V1 activity timeline.
Privacy and Safety Controls#
- Minor accounts default to the protected Tara experience and only see instructors with completed background checks.
- Physical-adjustment consent is separate from class attendance and can be withdrawn from the class controls.
- Recording practice mode shows whether live or recorded avatars are visible in the shared room.
- Report class safety issues from the in-world report action; urgent reports route to Lilith-Safety.
Troubleshooting#
- If native launch fails, use Pixel Streaming or Tier-2 fallback from the launch dialog.
- If captions are delayed, toggle captions off and on; the p95 budget is 1,000 ms.
- If the Aja HUD is uncomfortable, enable reduced-motion and photosensitive-safe before joining the next pose segment.
