@maat/strategy remains the source of truth for live-service planning. V2
publishes the projected player-facing calendar at apps/v2/web/calendar/ and
the in-game roadmap widget consumes the same projected contract.
Publication Rules#
- Publish a six-month forward calendar with
confirmed,planned, andexploratorytier flags. - Use
confirmedonly after production, localization, legal, platform, and live-ops owners have signed the event. - Use
plannedfor scheduled work that still carries normal certification, licensor, or partner risk. - Use
exploratoryfor events that need partner approval, family or estate consent, certification capture approval, or design review. - Every calendar shift requires a community announcement, the reason for the shift, and an in-game roadmap update.
Seasonal Themes#
The seasonal rotation covers every month:
- January-February: Lunar New Year
- February: Valentine's
- March: International Women's Day
- April: Easter / Cherry Blossom
- May: Star Wars Day, with licensor approval or a generic space-opera fallback
- June: Pride Month
- July: Summer Festival
- August: Anniversary
- September: Back-to-Training preseason
- October: Halloween / Dia de Muertos
- October-November: Diwali
- November: Thanksgiving
- December: Winter Holiday / Hanukkah / Christmas / Kwanzaa
Every seasonal event must include themed cosmetics, localized messaging, and a per-region disablement option for themes that are culturally inappropriate in a given territory.
Anniversary And Retrospective#
Year-1, Year-2, and Year-N anniversaries include one free fighter, one free stage, one free cosmetic bundle, launch throwback events, an anniversary livestream with roadmap reveal, and an active-player commemorative profile flair.
The year-end retrospective publishes hours played, fighter pick rates, tournament highlights, charity totals, and shipped content drops.
