1. Identity#

  • Domain: reviewed settlement anchoring and escrow execution.
  • Use-case classes: commerce_negotiation, supplier_procurement, creative_collaboration, dao_governance, and reviewed agent_to_agent_contract.
  • Operational mode: the originating case mode; Aje is an execution adapter, not a mediator or adjudicator.

2. Contents#

  • Templates: deposit, milestone payout, royalty, refund, arbitration bond, agreement-hash anchor, challenge window, oracle evidence, pause, amendment, rescission, default/remedy, and completion terms.
  • Constraints: verified signatories and authority; accepted draft hash must equal the deployment-plan agreement hash; positive milestone amounts; unique milestone identifiers; chronological due dates; supported chain and oracle; cooling-off and required review completed before execution.
  • Mandatory review: legal counsel for rights-affecting or cross-jurisdiction terms; compliance for sanctions/KYC or regulated-finance signals; financial approver above tenant thresholds; dual control for irreversible execution.
  • Jurisdiction: deployment is disabled unless the tenant overlay expressly permits the chain, asset, custody posture, and settlement class.

3. Sources#

Drafted by Aje settlement engineers with Concordia legal/compliance review. The bundle implements the agreement DSL, authority, finance-control, cooling-off, and settlement-lifecycle requirements and follows the regulatory sources in mediation-negotiation-2026.md.

4. Evaluation#

The escrow adapter tests schema validation, exact amount mapping, hash anchoring, milestone order, oracle mapping, and next-milestone selection. Settlement tests cover countersignature, authority, export, anchoring, amendment, rescission, default/remedy, and completion. Pilot value uses execution completion and time to completion; execution mismatch and unauthorized acceptance are guardrails.

5. Use#

planDeployment maps a reviewed escrow_release agreement to an Aje plan. The orchestrator may submit it only after acceptance, approval, cooling-off, and finance controls pass. The accepted digest and execution receipt remain in the audit/reproducibility record.

6. Refresh#

Refresh on chain support, oracle trust, smart-contract bytecode, custody posture, sanctions/KYC rules, or settlement-lifecycle changes. Last refresh: 2026-07-15.
