# 0019: MetaSounds-Only Audio Runtime

## Context

The V5 dependency registry references an audio-runtime decision for native UE
audio. The project needs one runtime graph model for music, radio, VO routing,
ship interiors, haptics, and platform-specific spatial output.

## Decision

V5 uses MetaSounds as the runtime audio graph system. Middleware may appear in
offline content-preparation workflows, but shipped runtime audio graphs are
implemented through MetaSounds and UE audio systems.

## Consequences

- Runtime audio modules depend on MetaSounds-compatible assets.
- Audio validation checks can inspect a single graph family.
- Middleware additions require a new decision record and platform review.
