# 0018: Re-Derived Collectible Card Rule Set

## Context

V5 includes a Hunter-cell collectible card minigame inspired by tavern play and
contract downtime. Copying a published ruleset would create IP and balance risk.

## Decision

V5 uses an original, re-derived card ruleset. It can share broad genre traits
such as hand management, factions, and lanes only where those are generic design
patterns, but card effects, scoring, progression, and terminology are V5
originals.

## Consequences

- The card rule engine must be documented and tested as original V5 gameplay.
- Content review checks must reject copied card names, effects, and scoring.
- Marketing and UI text cannot imply compatibility with any external card game.
