# V4 Sensitivity Reading and Trauma-Informed Tone Policy

## Review Scope

The launch sensitivity-reading pass covers every operator, historical RTS
civilization, Hitman-inspired locale, Wukong mythic-source treatment, Desperados
Wild-West treatment, and Commandos WW2 German depictions. Each scope must be
linked from `DA_SensitivityReview` before content lock.

## Cultural Representation Review

Representation notes must identify the specific culture, period, region, or
community being referenced. Reviewers check cultural specificity, stereotype
avoidance, accent and dialect direction, source notes, real-world locale
respect, and whether living-culture consultation is required.

## Trauma-Informed Tone Rules

Violent / traumatic scenes must be framed around stakes, choices, aftermath, and
human context rather than spectacle. The required tone is non-exploitative:
scripts avoid humiliation, celebratory cruelty, dehumanizing labels, and
shock-only escalation. Civilian harm is never used as a reward beat, joke beat,
or progression gate without review.

## Player Agency and Content Warnings

Missions with traumatic subject matter require player agency where the design
can support it: opt-outs, route alternatives, skippable replay presentation, and
content warnings before unavoidable scenes. Warnings describe the content
plainly without spoiling mission solutions.

## Civilian Harm and Atrocity Context

Historical or real-world-inspired atrocities require named review escalation.
Commandos, Desperados, Hitman, and RTS Historical content must separate enemy
systems from civilian identity and avoid implying collective guilt for modern
communities.

## Review Escalation and Lock Criteria

Any unresolved issue blocks content lock until the narrative director,
sensitivity lead, localization lead, and legal clearance owner resolve it. No
asset can ship with an open escalation, missing checklist, or unlinked policy
document.
