# V2 Rights, Likeness, and Partnership Operations

This document implements section 77.5 and 77.7. It is paired with the production
contract at `V2/ue/Content/V2/Production/ProductionOps_V2_Contract.json`.

## Character IP and NIL

Original character clearance includes trademark filing, copyright registration
for design and name, design bible archival, and legal signoff before marketing
use.

Licensed guest character contracts include IP-holder license, territory, term,
royalty, platform rights, online suspension clause, controversy response clause,
and contract-termination removal workflow.

Real-world fighter and performer NIL rights include term, scope, residuals,
credit language, hide-on-request, estate contact, and patch-level content
visibility controls. Requests are routed through the AJA consent/NIL ledger and
Themis rights tracker before publishing.

Stunt performer credit and residuals are linked to each mocap shoot. Performers
can choose on-screen credit, billing name, or private ledger-only credit.

Publicity-rights review covers US, EU, UK, Japan, and Korea. Territory-specific
restrictions are recorded before assets are assigned to region SKUs.

Retired or deceased athlete likeness handling uses an estate-managed opt-out
flow. The account services layer can hide affected content by region and by
license scope without changing deterministic gameplay data.

## Music and SFX rights

Music contracts cover mechanical, sync, master, game-use, trailer-use,
streamer-visible, soundtrack-release, and localized-remix rights. Sample
clearance is mandatory for any hip-hop track with samples.

SFX libraries are accepted only when commercial-use rights are clear and no
royalty-bearing terms enter the shipping build.

## Brand placement policy

Brand integrations are allowed only in World Tour, Def Jam Story, MyCAREER, and
Battle Hub surfaces where the design, legal, accessibility, and cultural review
signoffs agree that the placement is cosmetic and disclosed.

Rules:

1. No gameplay stat advantage.
2. No undisclosed paid placement.
3. No age-inappropriate product category in minor-visible regions.
4. No exclusivity that blocks platform holder requirements.
5. No per-region visibility without legal and cultural review.
6. No ad-tech tracking inside deterministic gameplay.

requirements.
