# V2 Community Features

The community surface combines editorial spotlights, curated galleries,
announcements, newsletter recaps, meetup discovery, Discord routing, and player
journals. The public marketing page lives at `apps/v2/web/community/`; in-game
entry points live in the main-menu news feed, settings, profile, News widget,
and community gallery.

## Spotlights

Player of the Week is editorial-curated around tournament highlights, community
contribution, or a story arc. It appears on the main-menu news feed and
marketing site and grants a per-spotlight flair cosmetic.

Crew of the Month follows the same editorial workflow and grants the same
flair-cosmetic mechanic. Replay of the Week is an editor pick from the public
Replay Pool; the replay submitter receives a flair cosmetic and Fighter Coins.

## Galleries And Creator Profiles

The Community Art Gallery supports player-created decals, arenas, CAWs, and
belts in-game and on the marketing site. Each gallery entry requires moderation
and a weekly featured selection. The Community Video Gallery supports replay
clips, photo-mode captures, and tournament-highlight clips pulled from approved
cloud sources with creator consent.

Creator profiles are public only after creator-code enrollment and moderation
approval.

## Announcements And Recaps

The devs-to-players announcement channel supports timed in-game banners and
popups for patch updates, tournament moments, community shout-outs, and charity
totals. Frequency defaults to no more than 3 per week. Every message carries a
localization pass within the 24h live-ops SLA and preserves per-account
dismissal.

Newsletter signup is available in settings and on the marketing site. Monthly
recaps include patch highlights, new content, tournament results, community
moments, and a roadmap teaser. Region newsletters are localized, and the same
recap is visible in the in-game News widget.

## Meetups, Discord, Journals

Meetup discovery is opt-in, shares no PII, and shows only local meetups,
tournaments, gaming bars, and conventions supplied by FGC organizer partners.
The public page exposes a plain .ics feed (a standard iCalendar `meetups.ics`)
for local calendar subscription and automation. The .ics feed carries no PII —
only public meetup titles, venues, and times.

Official Discord server links exist for NA, EU, JP, KR, LATAM, SEA, India, and
MENA. Each server is staffed by a regional community team. Discord rich presence
can show current mode, fighter, and rank, but Streamer Mode and the privacy
toggle can hide it.

Player journals are optional per-account public journals with markdown support
for match recaps, tournament reports, and character-study notes. Journals can be
visible to friends or the community gallery and are moderated before public
feature placement.
